 Australian cricketer Justin Langer ?s name is making rounds as the next chief coach of Indian cricket team. The 44 year old had been batting consultant for Australian side and now heads his home team, Western Australia as chief coach.The coach post has been lying vacant after Duncan Fletcher contract ended with the World Cup 2015 and BCCI has been scouting for a suitable person since then.

Uppal stadium's future in dark?

Just two days before IPL cricket match, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday seized the Rajiv Gandhi International cricket stadium at Uppal owned by Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) for not clearing property tax arrears to a tune of Rs 12 crores.IPL cricket match between Sunrisers hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab is scheduled to be played at 8pm on May 11.According to reports, the GHMC would disconnect electricity if the HCA fails to clear the dues in the next 48 hours. It is learnt that the HCA has to pay Rs 2 crore as property tax per annum and had not responded to multiple notices served on it.

When Sunrisers Hyderabad last faced the current table-toppers Chennai Super Kings in their inaugural match on April 11, their famed bowling unit was taken to the cleaners by some brutal power hitting from Brendon McCullum and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. McCullum in particular, slaughtered the strongest bowling unit of the tournament with a 56-ball century. He was so dominant that Ishant Sharma leaked 46 runs in just three overs. From that match, Ishant never made it to the playing XI till now.Things have changed from there on for Sunrisers, but not for Chennai Super Kings. The Dhoni-led CSK continued in their usual vein of winning matches to top the table with 12 points, while Sunrisers are still struggling to find their feet in the lucrative tournament languishing at the sixth place with three wins from seven matches.Sunrisers will take heart from the fact that Chennai?s lose against Kolkata Knight Riders exposed loopholes.

Sunrisers will take field looking to cash in on the loopholes when they host the Chennai team at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium here on Saturday. It is easier said than done as the CSK have many proved match winners in their ranks with MS Dhoni, McCullum, Suresh Raina, and Dwayne Bravo. And the famed Sunrisers bowling unit, comprising Trent Boult, Dale Steyn, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Praveen Kumar will have their task cut out against marauding batting line-up.The lack of quality spinner is also a cause of concern for the hosts with much depending on Karn Sharma. But he failed to prove his mettle so far. So, a lot would depend on the pace trio of Boult, and two Kumars to do much of the work. And they lived up to the stature defended some small totals successfully. It would be interesting to see if Dale Steyn and Trent Boult can fit in the same line-up.Openers David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan so far provided more than decent starts. Warner in particular, took the onus on himself of making the bulk of the scoring.

He is second in the top batting list with 317 runs next to Ajinkya Rahane and he would look to continue his form. The major problem in Sunrisers? batting lies in the middle order which lacks genuine power hitters. With their over-dependency on foreign players is a cause of concern with lack of depth in Indian talent. The middle order with Naman Ojha, Lokesh Rahul, G Hanuma Vihari and Ravi Bopara failed to fire so far and the line-up misses a finisher at No.7.Sunrisers are playing at their home ground for the first time this edition after playing three home matches in Vizag. But there will not be any home advantage for Eagles to bank on as they do not have a superior record at this ground.It will be a contest between famed Sunrisers? bowling unit and Super Kings? batting line-up. An expected sizable weekend crowd would be in for a treat with the balance tilting a little in favour of CSK.
