Just two days before IPL cricket match, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday seized the Rajiv Gandhi International cricket stadium at Uppal owned by Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) for not clearing property tax arrears to a tune of Rs 12 crores.IPL cricket match between Sunrisers hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab is scheduled to be played at 8pm on May 11.According to reports, the GHMC would disconnect electricity if the HCA fails to clear the dues in the next 48 hours. It is learnt that the HCA has to pay Rs 2 crore as property tax per annum and had not responded to multiple notices served on it.
