The Mangalhat police on Saturday booked a case against BJP MLA T Raja Singh Lodh for threatening a police constable who asked the organisers to shut down the sound system at a marriage function. According to Mangalhat police, constable M B Chandrasekhar, who was on night duty, received an alert from the police control room that a complaint was received from an unknown person stating that loud noises were coming from a marriage function at Balagalli in Mangalhat.The constable, along with a team, went to the spot and asked the organisers to shut down the DJ as it was creating nuisance. The organisers went to MLA Raja Singh and sought his help. The MLA, who arrived at the spot, picked up an argument with the constable and threatened to kill him. Later, the constable lodged a complaint against the MLA at the police station. A case was booked against the MLA.
