Amma is expected to take charge as Chief Minister of  TN on May 20 On Saturday. Jaya is returning to the office after court cleared all the charges of corruption on her on this Month  May 11.Sources reveal that the Raj Bhavan, the official residence of the Governor, and the auditorium of the Madras University in Chennai are being considered as options for the venue.Top officials of the State, including Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Director-General of Police and Chennai Commissioner of Police met at the Secretariat on Wednesday evening in order to make arrangement of the oath taking ceremony that is to be held on May 23.

The state is dolled up with posters and banner to welcome Amma back to the position. , Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam is expected to submit his resignation after concluding the meet.Jayalalithaa will get back to the seat of CM after a gap of nearly seven months, of which she spent 21 days in prison before the Supreme Court granted her bail in the disproportionate assets case.
