In a tragic incident, four members of a family including two children were burnt alive at late night on May 1, 2015. The fire broke out in a house at Manaon village of Gram Panchayat Chairi in Kasumpti assembly segment of Shimla district.The deceased have been identified as Mukesh (29), his wife Hemlata (26) and their children Dixit (4) and Jyoti (2). However, one more couple staying in the same house managed to flee from the spot.The reason behind the incident is not yet known.Governor Kalyan Singh and Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Virbhadra Singh have expressed deep sorrow over the incident. Chief Minister directed the district administration to provide instant relief to the affected family members.Anirudh Singh, MLA, Kasumpti personally visited and consoled the deprived family members.
