Union Cabinet approves 100 Smart Citys

The Union Cabinet has reportedly approved 100 Smart City projects and also the old housing scheme initiated by the previous government. The BJP led NDA government had promised to develop 100 smart cities in the country and announced it in the first budget.Smart Cities Council India will provide a guide to the urban planners to understand the framework of Smart City and steps to be taken to develop the infrastructure in the proposed city.Lot of companies are coming forward to be part of this project as the government of India has allowed FDI.
