Six people were dead due to heavy rains and storm in Uttar Pradesh, which has also caused a huge damage to crops in the state. The heavy rains have led to destruction of the entire communication system and electricity poles have fallen down.The government officials are trying to visit the affected areas, but are not able to do so due to commuting and accessibility issues.Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced a financial compensation of Rs 7 lakh for each bereaved family. Teams have also been set up to assess the damage caused by the inclement weather, a state government spokesman said.
