50,000 party members will be participating in TRS Plenary

The Ruling TRS party’s plenary is set to begin on Friday at LB Stadium. It is a maiden plenary after the formation of the Telangana State. The party has left no stone unturned to make it a grand success.Several leaders from Telugu Desam Party are likely to join the TRS party in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, as hinted by Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy on Wednesday. He has been assigned with the responsibility to chalk out plans for the parking facilities for the plenary. Addressing the press persons, the minister said more than 50,000 party members will be participating in its debut and implied that several leaders from TDP will be donning the pink shawl on that day.Taking a jibe at TDP, he said, "As predicted, the yellow party has lost its ground.” Not only TDP’s cadre but also the leaders are joining our party, he said without divulging much details.

He said the overwhelming response during the membership drive reflected people’s support to TRS, which has been on a mission to fulfill all its poll- promises. "TDP will be donning the pink shawl on that day, as nearly one lakh members enlisted themselves in our party,” he said. Earlier, he said that elaborate parking arrangements for the arrival of 6,000 vehicles have been made with the help of the police and TRS volunteers.Meanwhile, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy said that the welfare programmes adopted by the State government would be discussed in the plenary and added that the public meeting scheduled on April 27 was also being planned on a major scale.
